Event 3 Champion: Dave S

2016/08/22 - 3:05 by Playground Poker

Event 3 of the World Cup of Cards hosted at Playground Poker Club has just come to a close, and after 20 levels of play, it was Dave who bested a field of 78 PLO players to take home a $4,532 cash prize, along with a stunning Champions Trophy!

Heads-up opponent Steve Daraiche paved the way for Dave, knocking out 4 players on this final table before arriving at 2-way action. Although Steve started with the lead, Dave quickly chipped his way into victory after only around a level of play. They two players made a small deal, locking in $4,000 each and leaving a little over $500 for the eventual winner.

On the final hand, both players were hunting for a flush, however Dave’s pair of sevens on the flop ended up giving him the win.

Congratulations!

Event 3 winner: Dave S – $4,532.00

Le champion de l’évènement #3: Dave S

2016/08/22 - 3:05 by Jôle Simard

Terry Forestell managed to double up his roughly 200K early in 3-way action versus Steve, and then found himself all-in once again versus Steve on a King of Hearts 10 of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds flop.

Terry: King of Clubs Queen of Hearts 10 of Spades 8 of Spades

Tim Bittner was down to 5bb when he bet the pot after a utg limp from Steve, who made the call. The rest of the chips went in on the 10 of Spades King of Spades King of Diamonds flop, as Tim had less than one big blind behind.

Tim: Ace of Spades Ace of Clubs 10 of Hearts 3 of Diamonds
Steve: Ace of Hearts Jack of Diamonds 6 of Clubs 5 of Hearts

Tim had the lead on the flop with his aces-up, however Steve binked a straight on the Queen of Hearts turn and faded the river (8 of Diamonds) to win the pot and reduce Event 3 to 4 players.
