We caught up to the action on the turn, where the majority of the chips went in between Alexandre Lavigne (big blind) and Clayton Grunberg (button). With the board showing Queen of Diamonds 7 of Spades 3 of Spades King of Clubs, Clayton tabled top-top with Ace of Hearts King of Hearts and was trailing the two-pairs of his opponent, who was holding King of Diamonds 7 of Hearts. Clayton had a handful of outs that would see the pot get shipped his way, but he was ultimately buried by the 3 of Hearts river.

Heads-up play is now underway between Dustin Melanson (1,650,000) and Alexandre Lavigne (1,950,000) as they play for a $16,750 top prize, which will be accompanied by a WCC Champion’s Trophy and any $500 Bounty chips acquired by the players.

3rd place: Clayton Grunberg – $9,500.00
