Play has just begun in Event 13 of the 2017 World Cup of Cards, the Card Player Poker Tour World Cup of Cards event. It’s a $1,500 + $150 NL Hold’em tournament with a $400,000 guarantee and two Day 1s. This is a next-day re-entry event, meaning that players may choose to play either or both starting days, with their best stack moving forward to Day 2.
This is one of the principal events in this year’s World Cup of Cards and, as such, should attract a lot of attention from both traveling players and local heroes alike. We have seen last year’s champion, Brady Hinnegan, in other events in this year’s WCC so chances are high that he will be on hand to defend his title.
Registration is open today until 4:00pm, meaning that players can join the event at any time until then. Late registrants will receive a full starting stack. Players will start with 30K in chips and play through 14 45-minute levels on Day 1. Levels will be 60 minutes long for Day 2 and 3 in the event.
