Michael Malm was the chip leader of Day 1B before getting involved in a huge pot with Sylvain Siebert.
Sylvain limped in from the small blind and then called Michael’s raise from the big blind. They both checked on the flop and Sylvain checked again once the turn was dealt. Michael fired a bet of 8,000, and Sylvain quickly replied with an all-in of 148,000, slamming forward his big chips. Michael went into the tank for a few moments before cutting out some calling chips and sliding them forward.
“Good call” said Sylvain, who tabled for an open-ended straight draw. Michael turned over and managed to fade the river () to win the massive pot, bringing him up to around 465,000 in chips.
