Edward Guergis was down to about 100K when he shoved on Fernandez’ big blind with 7 of Clubs 7 of Hearts. Fernandez called pretty quickly, holding the very good-looking Queen of Hearts Jack of Hearts. He spiked a queen on the turn, and Guergis walked.

Moments later, Medhat Ramzy’s Queen of Diamonds 9 of Diamonds lost to Fernandez’ Ace of Clubs King of Spades. Ramzy failed to hit the board, and finished in 3rd place.

2 more $4,100 prizes were awarded, as Fernandez and Scott Worsley begin their heads-up match with the Champion’s Trophy laying on the table, favoring Fernandez by a 2 to 1 margin (1.2M to 600K).

Congratulations to our departed finalists!

Edward Guergis
Medhat Ramzy
