Bradley Copestake was on his way to eliminating Kuong Chhe Kuoch on the bubble when Kuoch called all-in under for less than a big blind, after losing 190K with kings to queens. Kuoch survived that hand by hitting a gutshot with nine-six, beating Copestake’s ace-king.
On the following hand, Copestake got invested in a pot where he had the short end. He was seen going all-in and getting called by Santos Ciulla on a turn with a sizable pot in the middle. When all other hands were finished, both hands were tabled, and the river was revealed.
Copestake, after failing to get Kuoch out with a dominating hand, hit a wall called Ciulla and busted on the bubble. Isn’t poker cruel, sometimes?
