Jonathan Bussières is a name that is very well known locally. He was the runner-up to the biggest prize ever awarded at Playground Poker Club. He took second place in the $5,000 + $300 partypoker Million North America in May of this year for $693,950, second only to his personal friend Jean-Pascal Savard ($956,000). Bussières started today with 211,000 chips, fell to about 55K, and is now rebuilding. He was just seen taking down a big pot to bring him back at around 275K.
He raised to 14K pre-flop from the hi-jack, and was called once. On the flop, his 27K C-bet was also called, then both players checked the turn. On the , Bussières then went on to push a large bet of 71K forward, which sent hi opponent to the tank. Bussières even put a clock on him, possibly to make him rush into a bad decision. He finally folded, barely believing a diamond presence in Bussières’ hand.
