Jean-François suffered a few losses before he decided to open up his game and take his chances to climb back up. He put pressure on the wrong hand though, and his pre-flop all-in bet with 7 of Hearts 4 of Diamonds was called by Steven Martin’s King of Diamonds Queen of Spades. Martin hit a queen on the flop, and Stoycheff was left with 175K, or 1 big blind and a chip.

They went in on the following hand, blind of course, and at showdown neither opponent could show a pair, and he opened his hand 1 card at a time. The first ace was enough to win the pot, but the rules forced him to open the second card, and another ace was revealed! He tripled up that way, but went out on the following hand after Jason Guiley had flopped 2 pairs.

Great work Jean-François, you are now free to go, and the winner of $14,320!

Jason Guiley and Steven Martin are now heads-up, with about 2 third of the chips in front of Guiley.

Jean-François Stoycheff
