Pablo Mariz is making a good show of it as he tries to add a local win to his amazing run of success in the WSOP this summer, but he found himself slightly short compared with where he had been and open shoved his last 640K (~13bb) from utg. Action folded around to Shaan Siddiqui, who asked for a count and finally made the call.
The players were racing, but not for long.
Flop: and Pablo took the lead, and Shaan couldn’t find running hearts of a 4 and ended up shipping the chips to Pablo.
Pablo put his chips to good use just a couple of hands later when he open shipped from the small blind into Thomas Lefort’s bb (with just 525K behind) – and got the call.
The random King wasn’t as lucky for Thomas as it had been for Pablo – the community cards were perfect for a pair of fives:
