Welcome to Day 1C of the Canadian Poker Championships!
Day 1C is the last of our slow-structured starting flights, and will play nine 1-hour levels, after which the survivors will add their name to the 202-player list of qualifiers that made it to Day 2 so far. 99 Phase 1 stacks were placed on the tables, waiting for their rightful owner.
The biggest of those belongs to Eric Jc Ylagan, who managed to bag 2,750,000 chips at the end of his Phase 1 feeder Event. Micheal Tessier-Strasbourg (2,469,000), Brent Wajcman (2,442,000), Alex Plourde (2,107,000) and Alexander James Allison (2,097,000) are also very well off starting the day, with stacks north of 2 million chips.
Remember that registration will remain open throughout the day, and during the first 3 levels of Day 2. After today, 1 more starting flight will remain, but with a with a turbo structure. Day 1D will take off at 12:00pm tomorrow, and play nine 20-minute levels, leaving plenty of time to get ready for Day 2, which will start at 5:00pm sharp.
The tournament director just made the introductory announcement, and cards are now in the air!
