In a 3-way pot, Alex Difelice and Marc-Olivier Carpentier-Perrault checked the flop over to Jeffrey Cormier on the button, who fired 21,600, roughly 2/3 of the pot. Alex raised to 75,000 and Marc-Olivier moved all-in for a little more, as did Jeffrey. Alex called to put them both at risk, leading to showdown.
Alex locked in the pot with a turn, and the river was dealt as a formality. He had both his opponents covered in the hand, and skyrocketed to over 600,000 with the newly acquired chips, putting him in the chip lead in the final stages of Day 1.
Players are getting ready to bag their chips onto Day 2, and in a few moments we will release the full list of player-reported chip counts from the day.
