Jeff Cuccurullo moved all-in for his last 11.2 million from under the gun, and table-captain Raphael Duval made the call from the blinds to bring the hand down to heads-up.

Jeff tabled a lead Jack of Spades Jack of Diamonds and was up against the Ace of Clubs 4 of Clubs of Raphael. The 7 of Spades 3 of Spades 5 of Clubs flop brought an open-ended straight draw to the chip-leader, and although the King of Hearts brought no change in the hand, the 2 of Clubs on the river secured the win for Raphael, sending Jeff out of the tournament in 4th place. Jeff did manage to win a US$10,000 Caribbean Poker Package from partypoker for making the final table with a Golden Chip, and will add that to his $52,000 prize money.

Raphael now holds a monstrous 148 million chip stack, which represents nearly 80% of the chips in play.

Sean Burstein opened to 3 million from the cutoff, and was called by Raphael Duval on the button, and by Jeff Cuccurullo in the big blind.

Jeff checked first to act on a 3 of Spades 9 of Hearts 3 of Diamonds board, and Sean went into the tank for a minute before announcing his all-in of 13.3 million. Raphael made the call and Jeff mucked his hand.

Sean: 7 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds
Raphael: Ace of Clubs 9 of Clubs

Sean was down to just 2 outs if he wanted to survive the hand, however the turn Queen of Clubs and river Jack of Hearts brought him no help and he was sent to the rail in 5th place. With that pot Raphael breached the 100 million mark, extending his lead with 4 players left in the Grand Prix Canada.

5th place: Sean Burstein – $38,000.00

Action folded around to Brandon Kitchen in the small blind, and he put the pressure on short-stacked Jeff Cuccurullo in the big blind by moving all-in. Jeff made the call and the two were flipping for a pot just north of 20 million.

Brendan: King of Spades 8 of Hearts
Jeff: 5 of Clubs 5 of Spades

The Queen of Spades 2 of Clubs Ace of Hearts 6 of Hearts 9 of Spades board was clean for Jeff’s pair and he doubled up to around 20 big blinds.
