Fabian Lacroix wins the Crazy Pineapple Bounty

2017/08/25 - 4:30 by Playground Poker

Another event in the World Cup of Cards is in the books, and Fabian Lacroix has been crowned champion of the $100 + $15 + $25 NL Crazy Pineapple 8-Max Bounty.

101 players turned up for the event, which featured $25 bounty awards for every elimination that took place. The final 11 locked in an additional payout based on their finish, with the lion-share reserved for the eventual winner. Once play reach 4-handed, stacks were quite shallow and the players decided to do an even chop, leaving aside the required $307 difference for the eventual winner.

Before long, only two players remain in contention of becoming our Event 11 champion, with Brian Morgan starting heads-up play with the chip lead over Fabian. Both players were heavy on the trigger, with most hands resulting in an all-in situation. The cards were landing in favour of Fabian, who managed to chip his way into the lead in a matter of minutes. In the final hand of play, both players were all-in pre-flop and a 7 of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds Queen of Clubs board was dealt. After discarding, Brian tabled a monstrous Queen of Hearts 9 of Spades and was a heavy favourite versus the 6 of Diamonds 6 of Hearts of Fabian. The 5 of Spades brought no change in the hand, but Fabian hit his two-outer on the river as the dealer spun out a 6 of Spades. With that pot, Fabian eliminated Brian and emerged victorious in Event 11.

Congratulations!

Event 11 Champion: Fabian Lacroix – $1,932.00

Runner-up: Brian Morgan – $1,625.00

When play went on break after level 21, the final 4 in Event 11 decided to modify the prize pool to flatted the payouts. With an average stack of below 10 big blinds, they finally agreed to secure $1,625 each, leaving an extra $307 for the eventual winner – who will also take home the WCC Champion’s Trophy.
