Jason Cloutier is currently leading the final 4, as players resume play after a short break that allowed them to discuss a deal. The agreement that was made awards $1,000 to all 4 finalists, and keep $1,056 and the Champion’s Trophy for the winner of the Event.

This is now a winner-take-all Event. Good luck!

Rodney Hollet went out with Ace of Hearts Jack of Hearts after flopping trips. The 10 of Clubs Ace of Diamonds Ace of Clubs flop looked nice, until his opponent tabled 10 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds. The run out came out dry, and Hollett left in 7th place with a $260 coupon to take to the cage.

Kristopher Chaykowski, who had been a massive chip leader earlier on, was quite disappointed with his 6th place finish. When the cards were opened on the Queen of Diamonds 6 of Clubs 7 of Hearts flop, he was way ahead. His 7 of Diamonds 7 of Spades had flopped a set, but the Jack of Diamonds fell on the turn with brutality, completing a set for his opponent, and Chaykowski was eliminated. He takes $370 for his run.

A few hands later, it was Niko Ghag’s turn to fall. He had previously won a 5-way all-in pot with just shy of 1 big blind, which kept him in the game and earned him a pay jump. But his Ace of Hearts King of Hearts got undone by Ace of Clubs 5 of Spades when a 5 appeared on the board. He finished 5th and cashed $510.

Congratulations to all 3 final tableists for a nice deep run!

Daniel Gates was the first to go, having nothing but a few chips left to work with. He committed them pre-flop, and was met by a call from Daniel Hsu, who gained a lot of chips in the hands leading to the final. After discarding, on a 9 of Spades 9 of Clubs Queen of Diamonds flop, Hsu showed the Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs monster, and Gates reluctantly revealing the drawing-slim Ace of Spades 10 of Hearts. The needed miracle did not come, and Gates finished 9th.

Moments later, Patrick Girard bit the dust. He had previously lost most of his chips when sitting on the big blind with kings, Yannick Labattaglia shoved into him from the small blind with aces. Ouch. His last few chips went away with Queen of Clubs Queen of Diamonds against Ace of Diamonds Jack of Hearts, when the ace paired on the turn.

They both cash $100 as per the player agreement.
