Event 4 of the World Cup of Cards was a $150 + $30 + $150 6-max Bounty tournament. 239 players took part in this freezeout Event, and after 9 hours of play, Alyssa MacDonald emerged the winner.
When the final table formed, MacDonald was 3rd in chips. She managed to take a chunk off Kassandra Dawn Cox’s leading stack when her 4-bet all-in was just enough to make Cox fold. after that, it was more or less a sweep. In front of her army of chips, her opponents fell one by one – she is missing only 1 Bounty from the final table!
When heads-up play began, she had a little over 4 million chips, and Jaered Daniel Besse had a little under 800K. It only took 4 hands before they clashed, and Besse’s
bit the dust. MacDonald’s
was behind, but she was on such a heater that it seemed like a matter of time before the board hit it. And it did. Congratulations to all money earners!
Event 4 Champion: Alyssa MacDonald: $7,500.00 and the Champion’s Trophy
