Francois St-Onge was left with almost no chips when he called off the remainder of his stack from the big blind, after Peter Johnson raised from under the gun.

Francois: 5 of Spades 5 of Diamonds
Peter: Ace of Spades Queen of Spades

Peter scored the knockout after improving on the Ace of Diamonds Jack of Clubs 8 of Hearts 4 of Diamonds 7 of Spades board, bringing the field down to just 4 runners.

5th place: Francois St-Onge – $744.00

Sasan Mehrabian has just taken over the chip lead after besting Peter Johnson with Ace of Diamonds Ace of Hearts over 6 of Diamonds 6 of Hearts, doubling his 423,000 stack into a monster chip lead. Peter was left with only 52,000 but managed to double it up twice in the next few hands.

Moments later Daniel Le took a chunk out of the new chip leader, doubling his 293,000 stack with King of Hearts King of Clubs over Queen of Spades Queen of Diamonds to become the new big stack on this final table.

Podstawka gets caught trying to steal the big blind

Action folded around to Adam Podstawka in the small blind, and he moved his short-stack in, putting other short-stacked Daniel Le to a decision for most of his remaining chips. Both players held around 4.5 big blinds each, and Daniel wasn’t ready to forfeit his big blind with a King in hand, even though the kicker was the lowest possible one. He tanked for a moment before finally calling and tabling King of Spades 2 of Diamonds. Adam turned over a lesser 9 of Diamonds 2 of Spades and needed to improve to stay in the game, however the 10 of Spades Queen of Clubs 4 of Hearts Ace of Spades Ace of Hearts board was not to his advantage and he was eliminated in 6th place.

6th place: Adam Podstawka – $549.00
