Steven Cheung is now the owner of a 700K stack, at a final table where no one else is clearly above average. Steven Mavrigiannakis is next, with no more than a few chips over the 300K average. The others will be pretty much at risk as soon as they find a hand they choose to play, the blinds having bumped to 10K/20K.

One of these players, Joseph Leung, found such a hand, and fell. His stack has contributed to Cheung’s fortune. Leung goes home with $500 for his 7th place finish. Congratulations!

Play resumes with 6 players.

Michel Merlitti’s bust in 9th place, closely followed by Sylvain Bouchard who went out in 8th place, brought the tournament to the bubble. The remaining 7 players decided they were not going to have it, so they adjusted the prize pool to accommodate the next player out. $300 were taken from the 1st place money, and $200 from the 2nd, to form a $500 prize for the 7th place finish.

The following payouts reflect these changes.

PositionPrize | Prix
1st$7,020.00
2nd$4,800.00
3rd$3,300.00
4th$2,250.00
5th$1,500.00
6th$1,000.00
7th$500.00
