Joseph Abou Khalil had 450K not long ago, but took 2 uppercuts from Adam Hussen, and is now out of the tournament. First, his Jack of Hearts Jack of Spades lost to Hussen’s Ace of Diamonds Queen of Hearts when the latter spiked a queen on the flop. That hand doubled Hussen to about 300K, who went right back to work.

The hand after that, it was Hussen who was holding the jacks. This time, they held up, facing Abou Khalil’s King of Spades 10 of Spades. Hussen’s 150K gulped Abou Khalil’s 450K in 2 consecutive hands.

Joseph Abou Khalil takes $2,350 for his nice run. Congratulations!

After that, Robert Weese, who had just doubled up with Ace of Clubs 5 of Clubs, lost his newly found riches to Samuel Roussy-Majeau, who’s stack is now well over a million, and well in the lead. Weese’s 9 of Spades 9 of Hearts fell to Roussy-Majeau’s King of Spades 10 of Hearts on the 4 of Spades Jack of Spades 10 of Spades 10 of Clubs 5 of Spades board.

Robert Weese cashes $3,150 for his performance. Great job!

Play resumes 7-way, with Samuel Roussy-Majeau at about 1.5M, followed by Matthew Wilkins with about 800K.

The final table had been on for just a few hands, when Daune Fernandez managed to orchestrate Thundup Ringpa’s bust. Fernandez’ Jack of Hearts Jack of Spades hit a set on the flop, leaving a couple or runner-runner possibilities for Ringpa’s Ace of Clubs Queen of Hearts. Although the turn did bring a king, the river did not complete the straight. Thundup Ringpa walked away our first final table casualty, and cashes $1,800 for his efforts.

Play resumes 8-handed, as players grew accustomed to.

Yan Touchette was under-the-gun, and open-jammed with Ace of Spades 10 of Spades, feeling a little low on chips. Samuel Roussy-Majeau was in the small blind with a monster, and went all-in himself, to isolate Touchette. When the big blind folded, he tabled King of Clubs King of Diamonds.

Board: 10 of Clubs Queen of Hearts 5 of Diamonds 8 of Spades 7 of Clubs

Touchette cashes $1,350 for his 10th place finish.

After Matthew Bellsmith’s elimination in 12th place ($1,250), Mitcheal Ferguson’s elimination in 11th ($1,350) and Touchette’s departure, the final table is now formed:
