The first Live Day 1 of the Playground1000 is now over, and from 160 entries there were 82 players that found a bag through 9 levels of play. The biggest stack of the day belonged to Georges Hallak, who ended his flight with a massive 626,500 chips. Benoit Lord finished in second with 453,800, while hometown hero Samuel Chartier sprung up to 451,200 after a strong end of day. Partypoker pro Kristen Bicknell also bagged a healthy amount after maintaining a spot in the leaderboard throughout the day. She will return to the felts with 352,300 on Monday for Day 2. Mike Leah joined the flight quite late, but managed to accumulate a stack of 348,500 in his short time at the tables. Full player-reported chip counts will be published shortly, and then added to the Playground1000 Day 1 combined results.
The event continues tomorrow with Day 1B at 12pm, and like today registration and re-entries will be permitted throughout the day. Satellites are still available for the event, both live and online, allowing for players to work their way up to play for the lion-share of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Come be a part of the action!
