The timer has just sounded to start the sixth level of play on Day 1B, leaving less than 30 minutes for late registration and re-entries. Nearly every player to lose their chips has re-entered so far, and there is likely to be a few more joining them in the next few minutes.
Nicolas Majdalani was able to maintain his big stack over the course of the last level, but many players are closing in on his lead. One among them is Event #10 champion Karim Abdelhamid, who joined the field late but found a way to double up within his first orbit of play.
