It was another game of 5-card PLO, and this time it was Jonathan Marrie coming out on top in a three-way battle. And while he took chips from both of his opponents in the hand, more significantly, he ended JP Poirier’s night.

It was actually JP who had been dictating the action for most of the hand. He opened with a 3-bet raise to 8,600 preflop, garnering two callers in Jonathan on the button and David Dusome on the big blind.

Flop: Ace of Spades 4 of Clubs Jack of Diamonds

David checked to JP, who shoved for his remaining 7,100. With over 30,000 in the pot at this point, both other called, making a side-pot possible. A Queen of Hearts came down on the turn, and neither remaining player felt like testing their luck. The checked the turn and the river, which was an Ace of Diamonds.

In the end, JP was knocked out and Dusome lost the pot to Jonathan’s Ace of Hearts King of Clubs 3 of Hearts 8 of Hearts 8 of Diamonds.
