With the blinds at 800/1.6K, Lynn Phan, who had been quite active up to that point, opened the action by raising all in for something in the neighbourhood of a dozen big blinds. The action folded around to David Dusome, in the hijack, who tried to go for an isolation raise and go bounty hunting. But Markus Cara, on the button, woke up with a hand strong enough to call off his stack so it became a three-way all in.

Although Cara’s over pair was in the lead, Phan had a live ace and Dusome had outs thanks to his open-ended straight draw.
