Day 3 of the WPTDeepStacks, Event #17 in the 2019 World Cup of Cards at Playground, will get underway at 12:00pm today – just minutes from now.
There are 9 players left in the tournament and each is guaranteed a minimum prize of $18,285 – but everyone playing today will doubtless be aiming at a much bigger prize than that – maybe even the winner’s prize of $182,790! Play will resume in level 27 with blinds at 25K/50K and a big blind ante of 50K. Play will continue today until a champion is crowned.
The players that have made the final table have all proven themselves to be talented players, but very few of them have many published results in their histories, so handicapping the rest of the event is a huge challenge. A few of the players have historical results that stand out:
- Karim-Olivier Kamal has the largest single event score in his history – he won the MILLIONS Open event here at Playground earlier this year for $210,000. Karim starts with 1.215M chips – the second smallest starting stack, but still 25bb deep.
- Daniel Le has made cashing in Playground events a habit – over the past 3 years, he has 16 cashes in major events held at Playground. Daniel is still looking for his first major event Championship, however – something he will definitely be chasing today. Daniel starts as the clear chip leader on the WPTDeepStacks final table.
- Adam Lamers is the player riding the current heater – he only has two published live tournament results, but one of them was a win for over $36K in an 888 Poker event in the Alberta Poker Championship just about two weeks ago. Adam, of course, is best known as one of the top poker journalists in the industry, so he’ll definitely be cool and comfortable in the final table environment.
Today’s final table will be live streamed so you can follow all of the action with cards up starting 30 minutes after the event gets underway to account for the required delay. Our coverage will respect this 30 minute delay – so you won’t be spoiled! See the Live Steam link in the Main Menu on the left of any page on https://www.worldcupofcards.com/ to access the stream directly.
Good luck to everyone at today’s final table!
