Table 32 just saw 2 players fight to the death. After many players had called, Scott Diver raised a good chunk of chips. Holding the second best hand, he was hoping for one rival to tag along. He did not have to wait long to see his wish granted, as Danny Ibrahim, sitting on his immediate left, pushed a 3bet. After everyone else had gone out of the way, Diver flatted, opting for stealth mode.

Flop: 3 of Clubs 10 of Clubs 5 of Spades

Diver checked to the aggressor, who placed a large continuation bet. At that point, the pot was so large that Diver did not need to stay in disguise anymore; he jumped out of the bushes and shoved his remaining chips. Ibrahim’s call was swift, casting doubt in Diver’s mind…

Diver: King of Diamonds King of Hearts
Ibrahim: Ace of Diamonds Ace of Spades

Neither the 9 of Diamonds turn nor the 4 of Diamonds river brought any help, and Scott Diver walked away, but not before shaking his opponent’s hand in great sportsmanship.
