Although play in the CPPT event slowed down considerably when the bubble started to approach, that didn’t mean that people stopped playing altogether – and a hand just played out on table 20 that saw Patrick Braga vault himself to among the chip leaders while taking out 2 players – enough to move the tournament directly into the money.
Braga opened the action in early position with a raise to 18K, which was called by Yaseen Siddiqui and Medhat Ramzy in the sb and bb respectively. The flop was dealt.
Flop: and everyone chose to check. The turn came and the action in the hand accelerated. Yaseen checked, Medhat decided to shove from the bb (104K) and Patrick simply flat called. When action returned to Yaseen, he wasn’t going anywhere – all in over!
His total bet was 117K and Patrick calmly made the call with no delay at all.
The turn was an entirely inconsequential and Patrick took down a huge pot – and two players were sent to the rail.
