Darryl Wettlaufer controlled one of the largest stacks in play for most of the evening, but his run has ended in Event #24. He fell to the tournament’s chip leader, Andres Odeja, when the two players got their chips in on the flop.

It was a heads-up pot between the two big stacks. Wettlaufer held Ace of Hearts Jack of Hearts 10 of Clubs Ace of Diamonds and was up against Odeja’s Queen of Hearts King of Hearts 9 of Hearts 10 of Spades. Following a pre-flop raise from Wettlaufer in position, Odeja made the call and was able to check-raise all in on the 9 of Spades King of Hearts 3 of Hearts flop. Wettlaufer made the call and got the bad news, which only got worse on the 9 of Diamonds turn. The river did not provide the ace that could save him, giving instead the Jack of Spades, sending the massive pot Odeja’s way.

Wettlaufer will collect $800 for his deep run.
