Kevin Lamothe Fournier dashes out to an early lead

2019/02/06 - 21:34 by Playground Poker

The players in Event #26 have just returned from their first 15 minute break. The end of the players’ break marks the beginning of level 7, and the end of the late registration.

Tonight’s event attracted 259 competitors. Of that number, seventy-seven have busted, leaving a field of 188 players still battling it out for a prize pool of $49,469, of which, $11,069 goes to the winner.

During the pause in the action, we counted the chips and determined that Kevin Lamothe Fournier is our chip leader. His stack of 130,000 is 30,000 chips larger than Anish Kumar Sood, who is sitting one seat to the left of Kevin.

Not only is Kevin the chip leader, he has also amassed seven bounty chips. At $100 a bounty, Kevin’s night has started off on a positive note.
