Today’s daytime event in the World Cup of Cards is Event #3, a $100 + $10 8-Max Deepstack Re-entry tournament. Play is underway now and will continue throughout the day until a champion is crowned. Along the way, players will navigate 20 minute levels, and unlimited re-entry is available until the end of the break following level 6 – i.e., until 2:15pm. When level 7 begins, it becomes a normal freezeout tournament.
Players start with 30K in chips (hence the name “deepstack”) and there is a $5,000 prize pool guarantee today. Play at each table will be 8-handed.
So far there are 38 entries, but players are well-accustomed to the late registration rules at Playground, so we expect players to continue to jump in the fun throughout the late registration period.
