Just before the end of level 12 Richard Sysko had a decision to make. With only 22 players getting paid (but still 32 players left) should he risk everything, or live to play another day?

When we joined the hand there was only about 10,000 chips in the pot and the board was showing a 4 of Spades 4 of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds 8 of Spades.

For a tournament with blinds at this level, it was not a huge pot. It was here that things began to escalate.

Eric Benhamron bet exactly 15,300. Richard came over the top aggressively for 37,000, and after a minute of contemplation Eric called. The river was dealt a 6 of Spades.

A pot of 10,000 chips turned into (almost) 100,000 in a hurry. Eric shoved All in and the words were hardly out of his mouth when Richard folded his cards, unhappy with the way things turned out.

That said, he is still in the hunt, and chose to live to play another day.
