Now in level 12, there are less than 40 players left in the tournament. In only a few minutes the remaining players will take their second 15-minute break of the day.

On table 28 just now we witnessed one of the most recent departures. Daniel Le (below, left) had precious little chips left in his stack, less than 10,000. He shoved, and so the player to his left (Eric Schank) shoved over top for about 70,000 to try to push the other players out of the way for a showdown.

Another player did ask Eric for a chip count, and took two minutes hemming and hawing about joining the hand. In the end, the third player decided not to join them.

Eric flipped over his Ace of Diamonds King of Spades, dominating Daniel’s King of Hearts 7 of Hearts.

The board was dealt 8 of Clubs 6 of Spades 4 of Clubs Ace of Clubs 7 of Diamonds, and Daniel took his leave.
