The World Cup of Cards continues tonight with Event #4, a $100 + $20 + $100 6-Max 50/50 Bounty tournament that’s sure to attract a solid turnout. This event includes pieces of all of the favourite Hold’em formats here at Playground. First of all, it’s a short-handed tournament with a maximum of just 6 players at any table at any one time. Action is guaranteed to be quick, and players who wait for the game to come to them will find themselves in trouble very quickly.
Not only is tonight’s tourney a short-handed tourney, but it’s a bounty tournament, and not just any bounty but a 50/50 bounty. This means that half of each player’s buy-in goes to the “regular” prize pool, and the other half (irrespective of fees) goes into a $100 bounty chip that players take with them throughout the night… until, that is, they are eliminated. At that time, a player must cede his or her bounty chip to the player that took them out… and hopefully go and cash in any bounties they managed to win along the way.
Play will continue in the event through 20 minute blind levels all the way until a champion is crowned in the early morning hours. Play is now in level 2 and there are 131 entries – and another 100 minutes of late registration left to go. Players can join in any time until 9:15pm tonight.
Good luck!
