It was a long day of poker, but after 10 hours of play on Day 1B the field of 125 has been whittled down to 17.
Each of these successful players began the day with 100,000 chips, and now their average stack is up above 700,000. Indeed, a couple of the biggest stacks now reach up above the 1,000,000 chip mark. Below are some photos of the six players that accumulated the most chips today.
And there are still more Day 1s to come! There will be 10 additional live flights and one online flight (on Thursday at 8PM), so there is plenty of time to take your shot and get in the game for the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
If you are as successful on your Day 1 as the gentlemen above, lasting all 18 levels, you will be joining a group of elite players at the Day 2 of this event, the $200 + $20 Grand Prix Canada.
Day 2 begins this Sunday, January 27th at 3:30PM.
Congratulations to all the players who finished the day. We’ll see you again later on this week!
