There is only 15 minutes left before late registration comes to a close at the WCC Event #8 Day 1G, and there are still 162 of the 360 entries battling to qualify for Day 2.
During the players’ last 15 minute break, we counted the chips and discovered that Joseph Abou Khalil continues to lead the way. Following the first break, Joseph had 502,000 chips, and had opened up a tiny lead of less than 10,000 chips over Franco A.
But following the second break, Joseph has started to separate himself from the pack. He now has a stack of 760,000 chips. His next closest competitor is Jacques Briere who trails Joseph by nearly 200,000 chips.
Stay tuned to see if Joseph can outrun the field from starting line to finish line, or whether a challenger will emerge to overtake him.
