Sean Grover had done a good job of chipping up early today, but with the pace of play, it was hard for him or anyone to keep up, and by the last break he was sitting with an under-average stack. He got it in with an open jam from the hijack that found folds from the cutoff and button – but Breyer Calvert in the sb called. Julia folded her bb.
It was a classic coinflip situation and the flop held some promise for Sean: but the turn and the river were both blanks and Breyer’s Jacks held up. He’s now playing a stack of over 40M chips.
Sean Grover takes home a prize of $2,800 for his efforts, and while we were writing this hand, Sylvain Cote and Jordan Lopez were eliminated – after the next pay jump – they both take home $3,500 in cash.
