After 20 minutes of hand-for-hand play, Day 1K has concluded. 17 players are bagging chips with a smile on their face and a ticket to Sunday’s Day 2.
Although tonight’s flight was the most popular so far, with 142 players and 22 re-entries, no one got close to the Day 2 leaders. It was a particularly tight flight that saw many players competing for the lead at almost all stages of the tournament. Whenever someone tried to escape the pack, he ended up doubling someone else.
In the end, Lee Chanwoo bagged the most chips, finishing the day with 912,000. Francis Charbonneau, the man who had almost a million when everybody else was at less than 500K, ended in 2nd place with 876,000.
The next 2 days will be action-packed, as every poker player within a 100-kilometer radius will want to partake in one (or several) of the last 6 flights. Don’t miss it!
