The last flight of the Strangers in the Night Poker Fundraiser has come to a close, and through it 30 new players bagged chips onto Day 2. This 16th Event in the World Cup of Cards attracted a total of 631 entries across 5 starting flights, 115 of which will be returning tomorrow night for Day 2.
Garrett Dansereau closed Day 1E as the overall chip leader heading in to tomorrow after bagging 372,500 chips, while Walter Asatoorian placed himself 3rd overall with 345,500. Stuart Taylor is the second in command after ending Day 1C last night with 350,500. The combined list of Day 2 qualifiers is available here.
Action resumes tomorrow evening at 7pm sharp, and the plan is to play down until the final 27 players has been reached. The finalists will then return on Thursday evening at 7pm, where they will play down to our Strangers in the Night champion, who is set to take home the top prize of $20,000, along with a WCC Champion’s Trophy.
